The power of 4AM.

Waking up at 4AM sounds bizarre. I know. But sometimes it’s necessary for your day to be productive.

I won’t speak for everyone, of course. In fact, for me, it’s 4AM, for you it may be 5AM—or even 6:36AM. The point is that there’s no “one time fits all”.

Every time I wake at 4AM, I know that the day that is about to start will be productive: I’ll finish anything that was set on my to-do list. On the other hand, if I wake up any time later than that then my day is most likely set to fail—as if the fact of oversleeping plays as a catalyst to procrastination.

I won’t lie, it’s nearly impossible to drag myself out of bed at that time. And if it is not, I’ll have an urge to go back to sleep half an hour after waking up. But no matter what, I have to fight that urge, that tiny voice in the head if I want to have a productive day.

It’s important to wake up at the same time every single day. No matter what. I don’t need to tell you that. But what I do need to tell is that it won’t be easy no matter the one-month rule of following the habit.

Some things get easier but they’ll never BE easy.

PS: We all have only 24 hours…
